My turnaround times vary depending on the type of service, length, and complexity of the project. I always aim to deliver high-quality work within an agreed-upon timeframe. 


SCES offers a variety of services with multiple options for pricing. I understand that cost and transparency are important when considering an editor for your work, and for this reason I strive to provide as much information as possible up front.

I also offer a FREE Initial 15-minute consultation for any potential client so that you can ask questions and we can discuss your needs before you commit to a service.  


Yes! I happily offer a limited free sample edit for first time clients interested in my services upon request! Note that the extent of the sample edit will vary per request/project type.


I strive to create a professional and personalized experience for all of my clients. In addition to offering highly competitive market rates, my expertise, adaptability and availability allows us to work closely together throughout the entire writing/editorial process to ensure your satisfaction for every service provided. 


I also tend to lean cheerleader/editor when it comes to author-related editorial services. I am an avid reader myself, and I want nothing more than for you to succeed in your writing career! Getting to be part of that process with indie and self-publishing authors is such an honor for me, so 9 times out of 10 I am just thrilled to be helping you in that journey.


ABSOLUTELY NOT. And I will say it louder for the people in the back. I do not under any circumstances use or support the use of AI or Large Language Modules (LLM) in any of my editorial or writing work. I also do not accept content from clients that incorporates the use of AI or LLM. 


This is stated in my Terms & Conditions (included as part of our Letter of Agreement), which must be reviewed/signed before any work begins. If an agreement is breached due to discovery of the use of AI/LLM in the submitted content, services will be terminated immediately and payment for services rendered to that point will be invoiced. More details are available via our Letter of Agreement and Terms & Conditions documentation.

I do not currently offer any publication or agency services (nor related advice/consultation) at this time. If you have questions regarding the publication process or next steps for your manuscript post-editing, I recommend doing some research online or contacting an agent or publishing team for more information. If appropriate, I am happy to connect you within my network of contacts. 


Having access to Microsoft Word (and the Track Changes and Comment functionality within the application) is preferred. I am happy to provide an overview of said functions once we begin project work if you are not already familiar. Access to e-mail, phone, and Zoom or Teams applications is required for ongoing communication and collaboration. 


Additionally, the ability to pay invoices via PayPal is essential as I do not accept checks or other forms of payment at this time.
