Our turnaround times vary depending on the type of service, length, and complexity of the project. We always aim to deliver high-quality work within an agreed-upon timeframe. 

SCES offers a variety of services with multiple options for pricing. We understand that cost and transparency are important when considering an editor for your work, and for this reason we strive to provide as much information as possible up front. We also offer a FREE Initial 15-minute consultation for any potential client so that you can ask questions, and we can discuss your needs before you commit to a service.  

Yes! We happily offer sample edits for first time clients interested in our services upon request!

SCES strives to create a professional and personalized experience for all of our clients. In addition to offering highly competitive market rates, our expertise, adaptability and availability allow us to work closely with you (and your team) throughout the entire writing/editorial process to ensure your satisfaction for every service provided. 

ABSOLUTELY NOT. And we will say it louder for the people in the back. We do not under any circumstances use or support the use of AI or Large Language Modules (LLM) in any of our editorial or writing work. We also do not accept content from clients that incorporates the use of AI or LLM. 

This is stated in our Letter of Agreement, as well as our Terms & Conditions and must be reviewed/signed before any work begins. If SCES discovers that this agreement is broken due to discovery of prior use of AI/LLM, services will be terminated immediately and payment will be required within 3 business days for any work completed up to that point.

We proudly share some of our client reviews and testimonials via our Testimonials page, as well as our professional experience and some organizations/businesses we have worked with on our About page, however we do not otherwise publicly share private client information. 

We do not currently offer any publication or agency services (nor related advice/consultation) at this time. If you have questions regarding the publication process or next steps for your manuscript post-editing, we recommend doing some research online or contacting an agent or publishing team for more information. If appropriate, we are happy to connect you within our network of contacts. 

Having access to Microsoft Word (and the Track Changes and Comment functionality within the application) is preferred. SCES is happy to provide an overview of said functions once we begin project work if you are not already familiar. Access to e-mail, phone, and Zoom or Teams applications is required for ongoing communication and collaboration. 

Additionally, the ability to pay invoices via PayPal (preferred)/Zelle/Venmo is essential as we do not accept checks or other forms of payment at this time.
