SCES provides a multitude of services at various rates & pricing in an attempt to offer something for anyone on any budget. Please understand that this is strictly to provide an overview of our starting rates to promote transparency, and that non-fixed rates may vary depending on many factors (including but not limited to: the decision to hire on a per-project or per-word basis, any additional or bundled services, and the timeframe in which said services are being provided).
Final rate & pricing will be determined per-project and is based on service(s), timeframe, and other factors to be agreed upon during the contract and invoicing process prior to SCES performing any work.
All booked services come with an optional consultation (this is different than/in addition to our initial FREE 15-minute consult) at no additional cost, as well as consistent communication throughout the editorial process for the selected service(s).
SCES's Hourly Technical Services are perfect for businesses and professionals and are billed based on time spent, whereas our Project-Based Services can be an excellent lower-budget alternative when compared to other full editorial commitments and are billed as a fixed price for the entire project/service from start to finish.
Please note that all services require a 25% deposit upon booking and must be paid in full once the service(s) has been completed. Payment plans/options are available.

These editorial services are intended for the digital publication needs of "Indie" and "Self-Publishing" authors but can also apply to some technical and professional/business-related projects. Whether you need copyediting/proofreading/beta reading services for a drafted manuscript, or more in-depth and collaborative editing assistance to help define structure, pacing, style/tone, plot, characterization, and dialogue, SCES offers a service that's right for you!
The average digital publication is roughly 60,000 to 80,000 words (240-300+ pages, and/or roughly a 2.6MB e-book file size). If your project does not generically fit into this bracket, that's okay. The rates & pricing below are charged on a per-word basis. This reflects a wide range from fiction/creative to technical/medical service rates determined on a per-project basis.
